Central Florida Paintball Series

The Central Florida Paintball Series is the best paintball league in Florida. The CFPS features unmatched competition, prize packages and media coverage of all paintball leagues in the state of Florida.

Central Florida Paintball is synonymous with tournament paintball. Paintball tournaments have been held at CFP for years. 2009 marks the inaugural year for the Central Florida Paintball Series. Late in 2008, CFP decided to create a tournament series catered to the tournament player’s needs. Being players ourselves we understand what players look for and want in a tournament series. The CFPS has been able to provide a complete tournament experience by offering:

Affordable Pricing

The CFPS, being created by players with the players in mind, has been able to keep the cost of entry and paint low while still maintaining a great staff and some of the best prize packages in the state.

Prize Packages

In an effort to provide our participants with the best possible prizes, the CFPS offers both event prize packages and series prize package for all divisions. For event prize packages, division five through division three offer prizes for first place all the way through fourth place. At events the masters division receive prizes from first through third. Series prizes are given in all divisions, first place through third place. The CFPS is the only tournament series in Florida that offers series prizes including free World Cup entry as well as sponsorships from industry leaders like Empire and DYE.

National Rankings and PSP Standings

Playing in the CFPS makes your team eligible to win a world championship in your respective division. The CFPS is participating in the new PSP/APPA national standings and championship series for 2009. Teams participating in CFPS events will be given points depending placement, these points will go toward your national ranking and determine your seeding for National PSP events including World Cup. Visit the APPA website for a complete explanation of the points and ranking system.

National Media Coverage

Playing in the CFPS offers your team unrivaled media coverage and the opportunity to appear in national media, including the #1 paintball magazine, Paintball X3 Magazine. The CFPS is covered online by various paintball news sites including GoggedPB.com. Participants also have the opportunity to take advantages of professional services like Tampa Sports Photography and Kaos Media. Tampa Sports Photography has had their pictures published in print media including Sports Illustrated, Sporting News Magazine and ESPN.com. Kaos Media provides teams with actual video footage of all the action!

Player Convenience

The CFPS has partnered up with local establishments including the local Howard Johnson Executive Center to provide its players, teams, and media members with high quality hotel accommodations at very affordable prices.  On-site the CFPS has made great strides to provide players with best tournament accommodations possible both on the field and off. On-field accommodations include ON-FIELD air stations, chronographs, and tools for adjusting velocity.  Off of the field, the CFPS offers a full service pro-shop where players can purchase gear as well view the scoreboard and standings on a large projection screen. Players are also offered food, hot off the grill and drinks to keep hydrated.

Experienced Staff

The CFPS has been running tournaments for years and now has it down to a science. We boast having on staff one the best Ultimate Referees in the industry, Patrick Flood, former NPPL Head Referee. His experience and resume speaks for itself and the CFPS could not be more pleased to have him on staff. The referees include national level players from well known organizations like Tampa Bay Damage, Fierce, Static and CFP Factory. You would be very hard pressed to find a more experienced group of refs as these players play on a national level and have won world championships. As players they know what to look for and how to deal with certain situations.

Rules

The Central Florida Paintball Series has adopted the PSP Rulebook, minus the Race2-2 format, in an effort to standardize the rules and prepare our teams for the World Championships.
